Twitter and GeoAPI Team Up!

We recently launched GeoAPI.com to help other developers build new and valuable location-based services. We are excited to announce today that we have been acquired by Twitter and will be integrating the GeoAPI into the Twitter API.

As Ev wrote on the Twitter blog "We will be looking at how to integrate the work Mixer Labs has done with the Twitter API in useful ways that give developers behind geo-enabled apps like Birdfeed, Seesmic Web, Foursquare, Gowalla,Twidroid, Twittelator Pro and other powerful new possibilities. We look forward to building features together that will make Twitter even more interesting and relevant to your daily life, no matter where you are."

We will continue to give new API keys for GeoAPI.com - however there may be some delays in getting keys over the holidays.

We are excited to be joining forces with Twitter and will be working out of their offices up in foggy San Francisco :)

    MQL Search, seems much flexible and provides a complete list of result set, but the required (Latitude, Longitude and Radius) are panic for a user to type.

    My queries to you are below;

    Q1. Is it possible to use MQL only with following parameters but not the above required parameters?



    A) keyword + City, State + radius OR

    B)keyword + Zip Code + radius

    Q2. MQL search seems to restrict search to a 1 km radius. This is too small to cover big cities.

    Are you extending this range for a registered user or is it restricted only for Demo Key Users?

    Q3. The simple keyword-search do not included address, Phone, Hour etc. just the business name.

    So now I'd have to resort to getting all the guids for the returned businesses and query for their address serially, which takes a lot longer than I'd like.



    Q4. Any chance I could get entity addresses in the keyword-search itself?



    And one final request is that I could not get my API registration Key, pl suggest.
